Let's Celebrate Women's

History Month Together! 

Did you know that women only make up 28% of the STEM workforce? That number just doesn't cut it for #teamsquareroot! It's important that girls are introduced to STEM subjects and role models early in their education so that they can be empowered to pursue STEM.

So, for the month of March we'll be focusing on highlighting the amazing women in STEM that make up that 28%!  Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see the women in history and current STEM influencers that are inspiring us. Rent and Utilities Assistance Program

Do you or does someone you know need support with making rent and utilities?  The Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), is offering emergency rent and utilities assistance for renters living anywhere in Sacramento County who have experienced a reduction in household income or other financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible applicants can receive assistance for past rent and utilities owed from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 and may qualify to have a portion of their rent paid for April, May and June 2021.

Spoken Word Workshop with Sacramento's

Poet Laureate Andru Defeye

916ink is hosting a free spoken word workshop with Sacramento's Poet Laureate Andru Defeye on March 20th from 11:00am-1:00pm.

Scholars will have a free space to learn about writing stories from their personal histories. If you can't make this workshop, there will be others that you can join so be sure to follow 916ink on Instagram to stay up to date with their workshop! Register soon as these workshops fill up fast!

Square Root Academy!

This month we've started teaching our 3D modeling course where your 5th-12th grade scholar will learn how to make 3D versions of anything they can imagine. All you have to do is sign up for our Spring STEAM Enrichment Series happening now. 

Both Sacramento and Non-Sacramento residents are encouraged to register so be sure to share this with all the STEAM lovers in your family and friends.
