Programs Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Program Managers are responsible for the development and execution of  the overall operations and performance of the sites / programs run. This includes maintaining relevant records, the implementation of site specific and companywide initiatives and communicating status of sites / programs to the Executive Director. In this role, the Programs Manager should have excellent written and verbal communication, strategy and understanding the Academy’s mission and vision. The Programs Manager shall be the primary contact for all team members under the supervision of the Programs Manager including site leads and mentors within the sites / programs lead.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00/Hr (DOE)

Commitment: 30-35 Hrs/Week

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for training of staff and attending professional development workshops monthly

  • Responsible for maintaining communications with Executive Director and relevant staff regarding status of sites and suggested plans of actions to ensure quality assurance

  • This includes conveying district information, site specific information, weekly updates completed every Thursday

  • Ensure the completion and recording of administrative documents and filing for sites (site reports, weekly updates, etc.). Documents are to be uploaded to a sharable drive for companywide reference

  • Staff documents: TB, fingerprinting, hiring documents, etc.

  • Scholar Documents: Reflections for all sites, test scores, attendance, parent teacher pacts, etc.

  • Ensure team and site quality assurance

  • Ensure lessons are ready for distribution four (2) weeks prior to teaching.

  • Maintain staff schedule for teaching, meetings, and all required Square Root Academy related items as necessary

  • Develop site reports to provide to district upon contract completion

  • Lead team meetings for specific site / program responsible for

  • Coordinate team meetings for site team

  • Communicate site / program needs to relevant parties

  • Maintain calendar as developed by the Executive Director

  • Ensure proper worksheets, quizzes etc. are printed one (1) week prior to class

  • Communicate materials needed for office

  • Ensure contracts are completed as defined in the MOU between hiring party

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of nonprofit organizational structure

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent research skills

  • Knowledge of wealth and education disparities in underserved communities

  • Strategize and lead new initiatives in a team environment
