Front Desk Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

In the role of Front Desk Intern, you will report directly to the Operations Coordinator and are responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Square Root Academy office, Lab 7 Coworking. You will oversee various administrative responsibilities and perform daily opening operations.

Compensation: $15/hr

Commitment: 10-15 hours/week

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a positive and welcoming environment at the Square Root Academy office space, Lab 7 Coworking

  • Open the Lab 7 Coworking building according to opening guidelines 

  • Support with the implementation of the COVID-19 safety protocols of Lab 7 Coworking including 

  • Maintaining cleaning schedule 

  • Recording temperature of everyone that enters the building 

  • Ensure that building capacity is maintained

  • Make sure the kitchen is clean at all times and coffee/tea/water is always stocked

  • Make sure that all phone calls/emails are answered and returned promptly

  • Make recommendations on any repairs, maintenance, replacement, purchases or updates required in the space. Identifying and resolving issues presented, i.e. insufficient cleaning, repeating IT-related failures, malfunctioning conference room equipment etc.

  • Empty trash cans as needed

  • Restock: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Printer Paper, Printer Ink, Hand soap (as needed)

  • Brew Coffee

  • Play appropriate Lab 7 tunes throughout business hours

  • Ensure door is open throughout business hours and locked outside of business hours

  • Deliver packages to appropriate Lab 7 community members

  • Ensure the space is well presented at all times

  • Attend weekly virtual meetings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent people skills

  • Background in customer experience, marketing and communications preferred

  • Some college experience

  • Positive attitude

  • Adaptability to changing environments

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Knowledge of wealth and education disparities in underserved communities

  • Familiarity with Google Suite
